Movies Can Inspire

When was the last time you watched a movie or Tv show that affected you?
The last time you laughed or cried during a show. I’m talking about the one that made you rethink something in your actual life. One whose area of effect extended beyond the confines of the screen you are watching it on. That you have embedded itself deep into your psyche long after you had finished watching it. It’s a bittersweet feeling whenever you get it because as you grow older, that feeling becomes increasingly harder to find.
Mostly because the older you get, the more you learn about yourself and the world around you that it becomes rarer for you to find something that makes you reflect on an aspect of yourself in a different light. So, today, I wanted to share my experiences with the latest movie that managed to do this to me. That was with “A Silent Voice” i watched it in cinemas, which I adored. I find it’s rare to see something that feels so familiar, yet different and tackles severe issues in such a grounded way: suicide, social anxiety, bullying, disabilities, depression, none of these were shown as anything overly dark, or incredibly tragic. It’s just portrayed as real. Which they are,

You don’t have to experience a loss to feel like your world is crashing, you don’t have to be the main character of an epic movie or story to feel like life is breaking all around at your feet. It was such a good depiction of the most joyful and cruelest moments a person can go through. Seeing something like this always leaves me feeling warm, even if the topics explored weren’t exactly pleasant. It’s like a realization that someone else out there gets it, and it doesn’t have to be any big emotional moment. Sometimes it’s just a mood, an atmosphere that has a familiar scent to it. I first watched this movie a couple of summers ago when I was thinking about dropping out, and it inspired me to keep going until the day I finally graduate. And for the first time in a long time, after seeing this, I felt inspired again. One day I hope whoever reads this will find a movie or show that does this for them encourages them to be better than they currently are and can move forward.

What is Magic the Gathering

Magic the Gathering is a skill-based card game. It was created in 1993 by Richard Garfield and Mark Rosewater. Since the creation of the game they have added over 200 new sets of cards to add to the game, each set has anywhere from 200-300 cards in it. Every set has new themes and influences from the werewolf, and vampire horror inspired Innistrad. To the south Asia and India inspired Kaladesh that focuses on technology. For the most part magic cards take roots from common myths and stories and real-life places. While also celebrating new styles and ways to play with every new set. Most players love magic for its rich lore it’s built up over the year or its skill intensive play style.

Mostly played in the united states it has recently become a global phenomenon with new tournaments popping up worldwide in Japan, England, and Mexico. Along with the new online way to play allowing people of all nationalities to play against each other without the language border. If you feel like you would want to join or learn more about this game check out Wizards of the coasts official magic the Gathering history page. https://magic.wizards.com/en/content/history

I have enjoyed playing this game for the past 12 years and will continue well into the future. I always look forward to teaching new players or just informing people about the game. In the south, this game gets a bad rep. But I think if people had an open mind to it, anyone could learn to have fun while playing this game.
